Float is a study timer made by Silver Leaf Productions. The short version: Float does not collect any of your personal data. Everything you create in the app stays on your iPhone.
Information we collect
We do not collect, store, or share any personal information. Float has no accounts and no sign-up, and it does not send your information to us or to anyone else.
Information stored on your device
To work, Float keeps a small amount of information locally on your iPhone:
- Your study sessions, including their length and when they took place
- The balloons you have collected in My Sky
- Your study stats, such as focus time, sessions and streaks
- Your settings, including your override code
This information never leaves your device through Float, and we cannot see it. You can clear your sky at any time from the Stats screen, and deleting the app removes all of its data from your iPhone.
If you back up your iPhone with iCloud or to a computer, Apple may include Float's data in that backup. Those backups are controlled by you and covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
Float contains no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking tools. We do not track you across apps or websites.
Purchases
Float Premium is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your name, payment details or Apple ID. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Children's privacy
Float is suitable for students of all ages. Because Float does not collect personal information from anyone, it does not collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above. If Float ever begins collecting data, we will update this policy before that change takes effect.
